I can’t believe it’s already October… fall is here and I am so ready for the temperatures in AZ to cool down!
September was a crazy month, as you can tell by my lack of writting… oops. We moved into the 3 bedroom apartment and my mom was here for 2 weeks to help us get settled in. What would I do without my mom!? Seriously she’s awesome. She stocked us up on groceries, helped us unpack all our boxes… helped me get pictures on the wall, went shopping with me and bought Isaiah some fun new things. (Shopping with my mom is definately one of my favorite things to do…. we always have a great great time!) After getting settled in Isaiah and I hopped onto a plane and headed back to CT for a friend’s wedding! It was such an amazing wedding, the bride was absolutely STUNNING and one of my best friend’s back home was my date… it did feel odd though… going to a wedding without my son or my husband. They wrote my name on my name tag “Ms. Crimmins”…. really… news to me bc last I checked I was a Mrs!! I texted a picture to my hubby and told him it’s like I was single for the night… but I didn’t want to be and honestly bc I didn’t have my man or my boy with me my identity felt robbed of me!! I know it probably shouldn’t have but it totally did!! I had a great night but definately missed Casey.
The weather here has been absolutely amazing. Seriously, I love and miss the fall. Isaiah and I went apple picking two times on this trip and had a great time in the fresh air and of course eating apples and cider doughnuts. Mmmm… One of the times we went apple picking was in Pensylvania with my brother and his wife and family. It was a great time spent with them over the two days we were there, such a joy to have an amazing family! The second time I went was with the same best friend I went to the wedding with as my “date”. She texted me prior to coming to CT and told me we could go apple picking which seems to be a tradition we carry on every fall, and I was excited to take Isaiah with us!
With as amazing of a trip as this has been, it once again will be tough to leave. Due to Casey not here I have been fortunate to spend some time with another of my best friends and I just really miss her. We’ve been able to cry and laugh together which will make it even harder to say goodbye. I became friends with her prior to myself being married and her first child (although she does have an awesome step-son!) and now we both have growing families. She now has a 3 year old and an 8 month old, and I am married with an almost 4 month old. Our friendship has grown so much in the past few years, even with our growing families we have been able to stay close. We have walked through so many ups and downs in life, it’s amazing to ahve her.
I was really praying this trip that God would confirm again our being in AZ… and it’s always hard to write about wanting to be in the NorthEast but ultimately it’s where my heart is. I do LOVE being in Arizona and am forming some AMAZING friendships, I have a few friends who are becoming some of my new best friends in life… the kind you just don’t loose touch with…but the NorthEast has my heart. Casey and I are really praying about where the Lord is leading us, we are so greatful for where he has us and what he’s doing with us, but we know beyond a shadow of a doubt he has something amazing in store for us. We just aniticapte the unleashing of it, and praying it leads us back to our families and the lovely fall weather. 🙂
