Homemade Bread!

Lately, Isaiah has been getting into much more of a schedule and let me tell you…I LOVE IT!!! I feel as if I am at the place in this whole mommy thing where I am getting it. I am getting how to manage my alone time, social time, baby time, family time, cleaning time… basically figuring out how to best use my time!

The other day, Isaiah and I went for a walk to the grocery store to get some yeast because I wanted to make BREAD!!!! First of all, YES I did say we went for a walk! If you know me, you know I’m not one to exercise BUT the weather has been so so amazing, we didn’t have the car, and I got an itch for bread! Secondly, I don’t make homemade bread! I’ve never considered baking to be my forte, but I wanted to make my first attempt at it so I did!

On the way home from Safeway Isaiah fell asleep so I put him in bed, my mom and I got on Skype and she taught me how to make bread… over Skype!! Technology really is amazing!

Here are a few pictures of my first attempt at bread making:

The beginning....

In the oven to rise....

I did it!! It rose!!

Success!!!

Yummy goodness!!

So, there you have my first attempt at bread!!! Next time I need to not cook it as long so it’s not as crumbly, but for the first time I was very please!!

Good job, Tanya!! Your bread looks really good. So proud that you are so willing to learn and do new things. Being a stay home mom really is awesome and an amazing priviledge.
    Keep cooking and learning 🙂
