You are now 8 months old and continuing to grow and develop. It has been so much fun to watch your little personality form, to watch you become able to do more things, and to listen to you start to say a few small things!
You have started to say “Dada” and not just the sound of it, but looking at Casey and saying “Dada”. Pretty sure we should consider that your first word. You also have started to say “Whoah!”, which is SO cute! We play with your blocks and knock them over, and that’s when you say “Whoah”!! You’ve also started to sound out Mama and Bababababa, so I’m working on ball, bye-bye, and hi with you! We also started to teach you sign language so you’ll be able to communicate with us at a younger age. You understand milk, please, all done, more, and you are starting to understand no. You can sign more, which you just started a few days ago, and it’s SO cute when you do it!!! I am so looking forward to you being able to communicate with us.
In regards to communicating, you have started to get frustrated when we take something you shouldn’t have, or we move you away from something you shouldn’t be touching. Actually, you have started to throw little fits! It’s a little funny when you do, but we also have to be careful not to give into those fits, but try to get you to play with something different and distract your attention.
Since last month, you have started to crawl….actually not just started, you crawl EVERYWHERE and get into EVERYTHING! You have found the outlets which we are teaching you “no” when you go near them. You have found the dog food and water bowl, which we are also trying to teach you “no” to! You are so silly! You have grown to LOVE the shower, and have found your way into it, so dad turned on the water and you were so confused!! We have had so many moments that we have been able to laugh and enjoy with you, you have continually brought us so much joy!! It won’t be long until you are walking around this apartment, and telling us what to do. You are pulling yourself up onto things already, and starting to do side steps when you are brave.
We love you SO much Isaiah, and are so blessed to have you as our baby boy! You have brought smiles to so many people’s faces, and are loved by many. We thank the Lord for you every day and every night, and pray for continued health for you.
We love you little man, and are looking forward to what the next month has in store for you. 🙂
